Boot From USB in VMware Workstation
Hello Friends,
To boot Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation 15 from USB Pen-drive, first of all you need to have one bootable pen-drive. If you don’t know how to create bootable pen-drive? So click on this click 👉👉 Create Bootable Pen-drive
After that Follow my below steps…👇👇
Step
1) Connect the USB Pen-drive to the host machine (physical system).
Step
2) Now Open the VMware Workstation.
Step
3) Click on “Create a New Virtual Machine” or Click on File Tab ➡️ Choose first option “New
Virtual Machine”.
Step
4) Select the first option “Typical” and click on Next button.
Step
5) Select the third option “I will install operating system later” and click on Next button.
Step
7) Select any operating system and any version from the options and after that
click on Next button.
Step 8)
Type a name for the virtual machine. After that click on Browse button to
change the default location of Virtual Machine and then click on Next button.
Step 9)
Don’t change anything here, simply click the Next button (this step is
optional because we have to remove this HDD later).
Step
10) Now click on Finish button.

virtual machine created.”
Step
11) Click on “Edit virtual machine settings”. ➡️Select the third option “Hard Disk” and click on Remove button.
Step
12) Then click on “Add” button. ➡️Now select the Hard Disk from the option and
click on Next button.
Step
13) Choose or select any virtual disk type from the option which is available
and click on Next button.
Step
14) Select the third option “Use a physical disk (for advanced users)” and
click on Next button.
Step
15) Under device option, select your USB Pen-drive from the drop-down list and
click on Next button, ➡️click on finish button.
Step 16) Click on OK button to save the settings.
Step
17) Click on “Power on this virtual machine”. So now the virtual machine will
boot from the USB Pen-drive.
Done!!!
